Marou Chocolate
Craft chocolate maker, Vietnam. The company's first formal leadership training, delivered to the management teams leading its growth.

Great makers, first-time leaders
Marou's managers were high performers getting great results. But none of them had ever received formal training on how to lead people, and the company was growing past what intuition alone could carry.
The goal was two-fold: validate that their intuitive leadership was on the right track, and give them concrete frameworks to shift from expert individual contributors to leaders of people.
So we started where we always do. We listened to how Marou actually works, then built the program around it.
Four days, built layer by layer
Two intensive four-day workshops that stacked the essentials: leading, communicating, delegating, coaching.
Validated, equipped, and still practicing
Managers left confident that their instincts were right, with a shared language and toolkit for leadership. Skills building is now a strategic effort at Marou, woven into their standard one-to-one leadership routines.
“We partnered with Thijs to deliver a leadership development program for our middle managers at Marou Chocolate, involving over 40 participants across two cohorts. Thijs demonstrated a high level of professionalism and commitment, investing significant time to deeply understand our business, culture, and people. The training content was thoughtfully customized with relevant, real-life case studies and practical tools. His facilitation style was highly engaging, with diverse in-class methods, interactions, and activities that kept participants energized and actively involved.
Thijs also worked closely with us to ensure the program directly supported our business needs. We saw strong engagement and meaningful impact throughout the program.”
